yes, I can transform the textures, but the sphere of the planet itself stays in the middle of the frame on the horizontal center line. I can rotate/move up and down, but I cannot rotate/mode side to side, so that the planet is on the right side of the frame, for example. I also had to parent everything to the camera (spaceship set and assorted bits) in order to rotate the planet higher in frame (as to be seen through windows).
This shader is on the verge of being amazing (visually, it already is). If we just had some straightforward transform and position tools that didn't require attaching everything to the camera I think it would find tremendous use for space stuff (which I do a fair share of.) Some clarity in the shader slots would also be useful (a specified cloud layer, for example.) Earth map assets can be purchased with different layers, and they all seem to be rather consistent in the types of maps that are offered. A quick view on CG Trader or Turbo Squid would confirm this.
