Octane Randomly Slows Down When Rendering

I've had random projects before where I'll be rendering a sequence that's taking around 2-4 minutes per frame, but after a random amount of frames, Octane will slow down drastically and each frame will start taking 10-15 minutes without any apparent reason. I know its not dependent on what's happening in the scene because if I stop the render, and restart it (or restart C4D) from where I stopped it, the render times will go back to normal. It just seems random. Is there some sort of explanation for why this happens and is there some way to fix it?

On this current project, I'm experincing frames that go from 2 minutes to 15 minutes on the next frame, to back to 2 minutes on the frame after that.

Fixed the issue! For any of you wondering, it was a weird glitch with my emissions material being applied to an object with many subdivisions.
