Too many polygons....

I have a scene that does have a ton of polygons, but almost all of them are instances of CAD data.... Do instances still count towards polygon limit? Can't currently render ATM.

Thanks!

Edit: Also, is hidden geometry calculated? I have a bunch of things hidden for each part too. Should I try and delete them?

Thanks again
Win 7 64bit/ Nvidia Maximus k5000 and k20

Hi,
have you enabled the Render Instance option?
Otherwise the instances are loaded as independent geometry (like in c4d), and you don’t have any polygon reduction.
If not enough, enable the Out-of-core option for moving from VRAM to RAM all the textures in scene, to have almost all the available memory for geometry only.
ciao Beppe
