Ok, so I'm probably too dumb to understand the manual, but can someone please share with me how exactly to bake a height map from a plane with a material with displacement on top in Octane?
Hi Pownie, currently you cannot bake the displacement with Material passes, but only the Tangent Normal pass. You need to use an orthographic camera to obtain a Z-depth pass useful for displacement.
