Environment Tag HDR issue

Hi, I am testing some of my HDR collection and i see that i dont get the expected results. I get really bright areas and no consistency on how hdr was supposed to light the scene.
If i uncheck importance sampling, it gives me a very dull result and if its on a very bright. I have to lower the hdr power to values like 0.001 in order to avoid overbright areas and still the light doesnt correspond to the environment. I got a very dark env and a whatever light that just doesnt burn out everything. Im using 3.07.0 test6a as im testing this.

I have tested the same hdrs many times in Vray and in production with no problems.

I attach a scene and some images to demonstrate the issue cause idk if i describe it correct. This thing happens with the majority of my hdrs btw.

Cool, thanks, changing it to linear seems to load the hdr correct. There was a more obvious switch with gamma if i remember correctly, its been replaced with this menu?

Another question though, why when i change the settings there, hdr doesnt get affected? see images
Cheers!

You're using that wrong! Why don't you use ImageTexture, not XBitmap?

Oh ok i figured that out. I m using HDR link from GSG and it doesnt work as expected and replaces the image texture. I should just re add it manually!
Thanks for the help!
