TurbulenceFD Help again...

Hi guys i'm about to lose it with this plugin - keep getting issues being able to see the smoke - can someone help me out with my settings or let me know what im doing wrong here?

Weird thing is is that this usually happens when i create my scene then after i add in my turbFD smoke... any ideas? Some SS below:

Another note... its intermittent - if i tweak around with the settings long enough i can get something to show up. I'm guessing something is not matching between my TFD settings and Octane Medium.

Thanks.

Hi hoice,
you have set both channels to temperature, while your medium has no emitter node. Try to switch to density for absorption/scattering.
Then create the Texture emission node and the Volume Gradient node in the emisdion rampe pin.

Hi hoice,

I'm not sure how much of help this will be as I'm still learning turbulence FD & Octane too, but this helped in my case. I couldn't see fire being rendered in my scene, after two days of trial and error I curiously unticked "invert absorption", which I see you have on. Maybe this will give you some better results?

Thanks - just messing around with it at this very moment. Having a bit more luck. Will post in a bit.

Looks like we are in the same boat though - quite a finicky plugin!

Folks one last question (i hope)... when I place an Octane Volume in with fog then use Turbulence FD i sometimes see the TurbFD container shape around the fog.

How can i hide this or make it blend in more with the background?
