Hi, is it possible to save a shader/material in C4D for later use? Like add it to the LiveDB or even better the Content Browser.

Thanks in advance!

Localdb is the place for that in livedb manager. Alternatively you can use content browser but it will not support mix material system. It will lost the links to other materials.

Thanks for that, would have missed that if you haven't told me about that.
But how do I save new materials to the LiveDB ? Is that somthing I have to do from the standalone ?

Btw will the correct material follow an model that I import/merge with content browser?

I make a folder in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\OctaneRender\localDb , then it appears on the bottom of the livedb folder tree in the LocalDB folder - and then I simply drag my material in there.

Sounds like the exact thing as I am looking for. Do you drag them there in Standalone or in C4D ?

To be honest, I've never used the standalone - I do it in C4D. Very convenient!
