Hi alexlomarco ,

yes normally, we can control the projection separately,
on the one hand directly on the texture tag in the object manager,
and on the other hand by adding a projection node for the materials you want to control ...

cheers

Thank you, but does not seem to work, maybe I mess something up:
I set cubic map on mix material tag and set a UV texture to my clean material, see the attached screenshots pls:

Hi, there are plans to update the tool to octane 2018/2019 versions?

It could be great to update the internal material construction to the new composite or layered material, and gladly pay an upgrade price.

Best regards

Hi,
Indeed, we can not act on the projection node of the clean material only if UVW projection is selected on the texture tag of the object manager.
So in your case it will not work ,sorry.

Hi Omardex,

I totally agree, now with this system of layers and composite materials etc .. it would be necessary to review the whole system.
I'm waiting to see where Otoy wants to go with its license system and also that the 2019 versions stabilize a little ...
I will keep you informed if there is something more concrete that is clarified.

thanks

ps : there is @ThePixelLab some versions running 4+> 2018 and a 1 other for 2019.1
