==== Octane C4D shared resources project ====

Hi Octaners!

I decided to continue Martin Carlson's great idea of creating a place where we could share Octane C4D resources.
A place where we could throw in some stuff we create for others to learn or help in our commercial or personal projects.

Only difference to Martin's idea is moving it to Google Drive for various reasons.

Resources consist of:
1. OCtane C4D add-ons
2. HDRIs
3. Help-manual scenes
4. Octane C4D materials
5. Models
6. Music
7. OrbX materials
8. random scenes (solutions, experiments, idesa, learning)
9. Textures

If you want to joint us, prepare some resources you'd like to share with others and contact me at:
[email protected]
(I'm not using Octane forum all the time so don't leave your info here please!! - only e-mail, I use it all the time).

After that you'll be granted permition to "stuff" folder which is 'read-only' and "uploads" folder which is 'read-write'.

Uploads folder is esential: you create something - you think: "daaamn, I'd like to share it with others! Yeeeaahhhh!!!" - you copy it to this folder and that's it!
I'll move it to "stuff" folder so no one accidentally moves it or deletes.

Guys, rules are simple and I get sick and tired of e-mails like: "hi, I'd like to be added to resources" and so on...
The resources folder doesn't grow because we have only takers and no givers.
FIRST: do something yourself
SECCOND: prepare it for download, so I can get it and check it (and please don't make a cube with mix material with noise as a miraculous solution to everybodys problem...
THIRD: send this to me so I can inspect it and put it in "shared" folder. Than You'll be added as a contributor.
No one gives a F.... about feeding the uploads folder and no one gives a F... about reading this post, so I'm not giving a F... for e-mails from people who doesn't understand what it's all about.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
When sending any resources to the shared folder you confirm you're the owner of the content or you have permission to share it. All uploaded stuff can be used by other users in commercial projects so sending me an e-mail with request to join the shared folder means you accept this and grant other users permission to use your resources as they want (except for selling it to others or sharing under their's name).
If you throw some add-ons or scenes that hasn't been made by you it's adviced to give a credit or leave an EULA regulation file.

ease how to:
log on to your google drive. In "Shared with me" you'll find mentioned folders. Right click on them -> "Add to my drive".
Install a google drive app on your desktop and use "uploads" folder as often as you can ;)

PS: To all users who joined this project already with Martin - I've sent you all e-mails asking to give me your g-mail account address so I can connect you to those folders straight away. If you didn't get this e-mail write me a line. Thanks!

Hi!

I created a photographic studio scene in a hangar environment. It's been added to the drive.
Just few of these models are taken from http://www.archive3d.net (free to use in commercial projects). Some materials taken from livedb.

The scene needs some tweaking. Lights could be optimized better and more accesories could go in, but generally it's ready to use.

You can create with this your own setups with different backgrounds or accesories and generate fresh HDRIs to use in your projects. Or you can simply use it as a scene (not HDRI) for your renders.
Peace!

I think this is a really great thing! I would like to contribute. Keeping in mind that I am relatively new to Octane, is there anything specific I could work on to help out? Thanks!

Nice thing from Adam.

A Studio Rig with 4 lights and HDRI and L-shape floor with X-presso controlled EVERYTHING (via User Data).

This is a very cool and handy one, iDani. First time I saw this kind of projection was inside an Unreal Engine assete. Your Rig brings much more flexibility though!
Regards,
