I think aoktar contributes at least 50% to the admiration I have for octane. Thank you for the fast fix! - i hope this didnt come with too much pathos

Is it possible to upload a r16 version win, too? thanks!

Maybe tomorrow sorry. Only R17 that i can compile.

Here is a new build. I think you'll feel the differences for sending the Scene data to LV. Faster and less hold on first send.

Just for Windows: https://render.otoy.com/customerdownloa ... -test2.rar

Thank you Aoktar! This Mac build solves the crashing in Octane when rendering. But I agree that the RF plugin itself is very crash-prone. Rather disappointing that it is so unstable.

I spoke too soon. My file now crashes every time I send a render to Octane LV. It worked fine after updating to the test build you posted earlier, but just started crashing again after I cached the simulation and saved it. Now whenever I run this file, Octane always crashes. I've tried deleting the cached sim, opening the file with Octane LV running etc. Nothing helps.

Looks life RF|C4d + Octane is not a very stable combination at this time.

I've never used such an unstable 'release'. I really can't believe they shipped this to users in this state.

Agreed. I just released a plug-in and did everything in my power during beta to make it crash or screw up. RealFlow crashes every 5 minutes. Certainly they're aware of how unstable it is. Other than that I like it, lol.

Is there some way or work-around to render the particles without using the mesher?
