Crash when "updating"

Hi,

I'm working on a big scene. My C4D file is about 1165Mo and contains 2 big models with these info

Object 1 :
Memory : 1378567 Kbytes
Polygons : 6901898 (19935622)
Objects : 18808 (38144)

Object 2 :
Memory : 1378590 Kbytes
Polygons : 6901898 (19935908)
Objects : 18808 (38144)

Also, There is an Octane Scatter of this object :
Object 3 :
Memory : 186144 Kbytes
Polygons : 433124 (1451357)
Objects : 164 (508)

Also, there is a total of 13544 instances in these 3 objects.

My rig :
Windows 10 Pro 21H2
CPU : Intel i9_9940X
Ram : 96Go
GPU : 2*4090
nvidia drivers : Studio 528.49

The problem : I'm facing C4D freeze when I'm launching renders, during the "Update" phase.

When the scene is loading, everything is rendering extremely fast, which is good... but... it's crashing 95% of the time...

Any clue about this would be highly appreciated... Thanks in advance, mates !

Hi,
please upgrade C4D to 2023.1.3, you can find it in your MyMaxon/Downloads page.

If not enough, please write to help at otoy dot com, so we can better investigate.

ciao,
Beppe

Hi Bepeg4d, thanks a lot for your reply, and sorry for the lack of feedback, I had to switch on another project. But I'm back on it tonight.

It seems to be way better, I only experienced a single crash.

I'll keep you in touch if things are going mad again...

Regards

Well, I was too much optimistic...

It's still crashing again and again.

Last night 150 frames were rendered, then it crashed.
This morning i renderend 2 frames before crashing, and now... i can't even render one....

I'll contact the support...
