Render cloth surface with different materials on either side

Hi,

I have a surface with an Octane mix material set up so that the front is one mateiral and the back is a different material. However, when I drop this into a C4D Cloth Surface I get the front material on both sides. How can I make the back side show the second material?

Thanks

1-I don't advice the mix material because of drawbacks in Cinema4D. Go with composite materials
2-Mix two sub_materials with "Side" texture node for the effect

Thanks.

Have done a test with 2 simple submaterials connected to the material slots in the composite material however when I add a cloth surface i get the same issue where only the first material is on both sides. Have i set this up correctly?

Hi,
the material is correctly setup, but can work only if the cloth doesn't have thickness.
If you cut the cloth, you should see the red interior in the thickness.

You should need to have 2x cloth objects, one with positive thickness, and another one with an Instance of the first object and negative thickness:
