Octane for Cinema 4D R25

As is becoming routine, Maxon is releasing new versions of Cinema 4D in mid-April and mid-September. And as many of you know, Maxon released R25 yesterday.

I know it is a touchy subject, so please understand this isn't a demand, but a reasonable question for a paying Octane user: When can an R25-compatible version of Octane be expected?

Some C++ Cinema 4D plugins have been broken by the new release, so it would be good to know when this Cinema 4D release will be usable by Octane users.

Thank you.

Just curious: are you guys jumping software mid-project or starting a project immediately after a new version is released? I really don't get these questions.

First, so everyone knows, Aoktar just released a version for 2020.2.5 that works in R25.

To answer your question though, No, I don't jump or start a new project in the new C4D as soon as they release it. But I do use the opportunity to set up Octane along with all my pallets and workspaces.

I also can try any beta versions of newer Octane releases without constantly switching folders on my main C4D version. Having Octane available also allows me to set up all my other plugs as they come online for the new C4D release and check renders.

When all the plugs are available, then I jump. Hope this helps.

BTW asking for a build as soon as a new C4D released that's making us distracted from our work plans. This is negative side. Doing a job of future that's the positive aspect.

Yeap. I didn't test it deeply but it seems to work fine and of course It doesn't mean that the development is going to be stopped. Version 2020.2.5-R3
