I am testing ocio with my new project.
this is my render setting(please check the attachment),and the save format is png(8 bit)

When I use the ipr to save file(save image, the same as the output setting), nothing bad happened.
But when render with the picture viewer, it crash!

I have just update to the newest driver.Still crashing.
I found it when setting the color space to ocio could cause this problem(the render setting of cinema4d)

Save as HDR (Float 32-bit) not LDR. Use this chart to make sure all of your settings are correct:

Thanks,I will check it.
Will it be fixed in the later version? Some projects are so small than I don't want to open the composite software and convert the color space for only one image.

If you follow the chart I posted and you have the most current version of the c4doctane plugin, it should render to LDR 8 bit without issue. DO NOT USE FORCE TONE MAPPING. You lose ALL of the benefits of ACES when you do so. Also, disable Use Denoised Beauty Pass.

Sorry but where exactly do I need to put the ocio files so Octane in C4d finds them? Is there a guide? Thx!

If you are familiar with creating Environmental Variables, you can set one up for your config.ocio file. This will enable ACES for ALL applications on your system that are ACES and OCIO aware. If you do go this route, the next time you launch Octane the config file will be listed in the Environment config file slot in the Color Management tab of the Octane Settings window in Live Viewer. You also have the option of using a separate config file for Octane, and that is what the Use Other config file slot is meant for.

The actual files can be stored wherever you prefer. I place my in the program files directory.
