Hi Friends,
I'm having a strange issue with the C4D viewport not redrawing unless I move the camera. Selecting objects in the object manager (or even clicking on them in the viewport) doesn't highlight them, objects won't update when being moved via their axis but if I move the camera it forces a redraw and moves smoothly until I let go of the mouse button.
The Octane live viewer works great and rendering to picture viewer isn’t an issue, just the viewport in Cinema. I’ve tried turning off Hardware OpenGL acceleration with no luck. Also tested the “Use OpenGL for Preview” setting within Octane.
I've wrestled with it for about a week and narrowed it down to the Octane plugin 3.07-R2 Stable and 3.08 Test6 when combined with the AkiTiO Node eGPU with a 1080Ti running the latest NVIDIA Web Drivers. When I remove the plugin, the viewport works as intended. Specific details listed below.
I’ve followed all the instructions for installing the latest version of the NVIDIA eGPU enabler and am not having any issues with the eGPU accelerating my external display or even my internal laptop display. Even Octane Benchmark is running smoothly.
Let me know if I’ve missed any details.
