Quick update, the port from a ICE node to the renderer seems to work.
The functions to create, check und delete the Octane node is also working.
Now i will try to fill the Octane node with the VDB grid data.
For the medium Node, which defines how the grids look, i will build a volume material shader, which will be the best solution, i think.

Hey Face

Do you think it will be possible to render Mootzoid emfluid volume ?

http://www.mootzoid.com/plugin/emfluid5

All the best
Phil

Yes, maybe it will work.
You can also use the emfluid as source, generate a vdb sphere from each point and add a noise to it.
So you only need a few particles as source, which reduces the simulation time.
Haven´t tested it, because i will include the vdb in the renderer first to render animation inside Softimage, so i don´t know how it will look...

Ok, first render inside Soft.
Medium parameters are changed by hand in the nodegraph, because missing shaders, but looks ok i think.

Have updated some things.
At fist the VDB´s can generated as SDF or fog volumes, before only fog volumes were generated.
This will have the advantage, generated as SDF, the displacement will be much better.
So i have at second, updated the noise functions to work with the both volume types and have switched to a better displacement methode.

Looks pretty nice i think...
