Camera animation export

Hello

Is there a way to export the camera animation to an alembic file, to be able to render camera animations with standalone without opening and closing Octane in each frame?

Thanks

Best regards
Filipe

I don´t know.
This will be for the free export script and Softimage hasn´t an alembic export for now.
For this i would need the alembic from the Octane SDK, and i don´t know if i can use it on a free version...

What about controlling the motion blur amount of the camera movement?
Currently I can only get 100% of shutter time and that is too much.

Thanks

Isn´t the blur factor dependent on the aperture value?
When i remember right...

I see, you must set the "Shutter time", beside the timeline, in the standalone and save the scene.

I did that, and saved but on the next frame it was back in the default value...

This isn´t a parameter, the exporter can change...

Strange, shutter time always goes back to 0.042

Have seen that we can load a script with the commandline.
Maybe now we have the chance to generate a lua script inside the exporters which can setup some things inside Octane at startup.

Hello Face,

I think the new scripting capabilities deserve a re-write of the Soft2Octane exporter, it is a very important tool for the standalone softimage users. :)

Kind regards
