The RenderRegion should work, but because Octane haven´t one, i use the dimension from the viewport in which the region is shown.
The region i use, is then cropped from the vieport dimension.
You will also have only a speedboost, when the final render is greater than the viewport size.
The geometry must be present in XSI. Deleted or hidden geometry will not shown in the Render.
Should be the same as in Redshift...
