Here is a new version of the addon for Softimage to render animations in Octane.

[vimeo]http://www.vimeo.com/68366576[/vimeo]

The only change this addon have, is the ability to render animations on Octane v1.16 and 1.17.
Older versions of Octane doesn´t work with this addon.

This addon is for Softimage 2010sp1 and works also on Softimage 2013. Haven´t test it on 2014 but it should also work.
The addon includes all files for 32 and 64bit.
Have fun...

Edit:
The only issue i found is cosmetic nature. The version history in the about window isn´t up to date ;)

Edit2:
When someone have problems to install it, try to use this 64bit dll without some cuda stuff.

Uhm it says Octane_x64.dll cant be found, but the directory/name seems to be correct?

The old plugin had cudart64_30_14.dll, Soft2Octane.ini that the 2013 misses.

I tried moving over the Octane_x64.dll into the old plugin installation, and rename the plug-in to Soft2Octane_x64.dll and while it works to render with, the new -R function doesnt seem to kick in.

Hm, here it works also on a fresh installed Softimage 2014.
cudart_64_30_14.dll isn´t required because i runs without this.
And the Soft2Octane.ini is generated at runtime.
Have you uninstalled the old addon?

The new folder structure should look like this:
Code: Select all

│   ├───CommandMaps
│   └───Plugins
│           filebrowserPlugin.vbs
│           Octane_x64.dll

Here is a test dll without the cuda staff for x64.
Overwrite the existing dll with this one...
