Hi, I'm trying this plug-in for maya 2.03(demo)
When I select the octane material node maya just freeze forever. On student version it goes smoothly
I tested maya 2014 and 15 on different PC and laptop
Anybody know this problem?

is the octane plugin actually loaded? If the octane plugin isn't loaded it'll freeze up when you try to select a material or do a render.
do you happen to be logging into your computer remotely via windows remote desktop, or something similar? certain remote desktop logins disable cuda rendering. I ran into this a while ago and it took me a while to figure out what was going on.

both of those are a long shot to fix your problem but it's worth it to check.

yes its loaded, its local PC, latest drivers, etc...
actually i can select/apply materials, but when I go to its settings in atribut editor its freeze

What GPUs do you have?

I have this same issue with v2 octane for maya. Nvidia GTX 1070 video card.

Anyone find a solution or reason for this?

Maya V2 plugin doesn't suport Pascal GPU (10xx serie),
but it might be supported soon when the plugin is recompiled with the new 2.26 octane sdk.
