The movies showing live displacement and motion blur (through C4D) look awesome.

as it is now. I would not bye it! all in all it´s a beta but with no updates and no comunication from the developer what so ever. if I compare it to the max counterpart, maya plugin feels dead right now..

I'm pretty interested in which host App is going to be the best supported.

I'm just getting in to Octane (through Maya), but am happy to switch over to C4D if this is going to have better/quicker implementation of the main features.

The Octane 2 for C4D thread and reply to queries in general, seem to be more active. And, the new features look super cool.

cheers,

Steve

C4d plugin is always on top. Its strange that Maya, being one of the more important apps, has this slow development.
Maybe should Otoy add more developers?

I totally agree! Otoy MUST hire more guys to develop the maya plugin! To be honest I'm really dissapointed (I should use stronger words) of development progress. Four months since last update - It turns into a sad joke! It's ridiculous that you have to pay for the maya plugin as the final product even though it is far behind the rest of the plugins that are still in beta!

I agree. Jimstar is a great dev, just overloaded. They need to get someone else who is dedicated to the plug-in.

Maya is falling to far behind.
