maybe when saving the jpg you have activaded in the save panel the overide of the gamma in 1.0 and that should be in 2,2 or in automatic for jpg which are to be seen in srgb monitors :)

I can confirm that using Max gamma hack and non linear tone mapping clamps the dynamic range from 0 to something slightly above 1. I'm assuming the slightly above 1 value helps the post effect, but ideally, we should have full range with the Max Gamma Hack and non linear tone mapping. It only makes sense that I can still use the color management of Octane and still take advantage of the 32-bit float EXR range.

I've tried several combinations, my rendering always comes out with dark gamma.

how can that be! Even to save an image turns into a nightmare

Someone can give me a setup that saves a simple 2.2 gamma image like I see on viewport? because I don't know what else to do.

I don't know anymore if what's on the prinscreen is right... I tried everything

I do save images in gamma 2.2 ( each time ) and almost the same settings as Paride : linear, maxhack off.

Hello Paride,

using your settings (with gamma hack ON), I have this issue :

- Images on top are from the Octane Viewport, Beauty and denoised Beauty are fine
- Images on bottom are from the 3ds Max Frame Buffer, denoised beauty pass has a wrong gamma

What should I do ?
