i think there are some bugs with the matte shadow or shadow catcher?

everything object can be a matte shadow or just an object plane ?

How do you create a invisible matte shadow object? like the middle teapot.
I have tried layer id but unable to do the same you did there can you share the settings thx

shadow catcher option is in universal and diffuse material.

I just did a sphere a plane beneath and a plane light above - the shadow intensity didn't change with light power - 2018.1 beta4 - is that how it's supposed to work, the shadow catcher never worked quite as well as I hoped for me.. always too dark
