Hi.
Is there someway to control the filtering of textures in Octane.

I have a mask texture exported from Substance painter.
First i thought i had exported it wrong from Substance.

But i have dobbelt checked it in photoshop and tested it with other engines like MR and Vray and i get no seams there.
In the other engines i have the ability to go in to the bitmap and click the Filtering to None

Octane have no such thing as far as i can see.

Hi stir,
I think your issue depends on padding size when you export from Substance painter.
Try to take a look here:

You are indeed correct.

Padding size resolves the issue.
Thank you!

As a side question, do Octane do any filtering on the textures?
Since the result are different between the different render engines, when i check texture filtering to "None" in the other engines.

Hi

By default Octane is using bilinear filtering. That's the only option currently and there's no direct way to change it. However, using OSL we can now 'override' that and I wrote a few examples that would let you "disable" filtering. Check out this topic.

In the meantime they added an option in OSL to do texture lookup directly without filtering so I'm guessing it's just a matter of time.
