Is there an easy way/trick to add Decals to surfaces in octane for max? right now Im having to add another object (plane) in front of a wall for example and apply that with an opacity texture, but thats not ideal because of the shadows...even if you put RIIIIGHT in front of it, there's always a slight shadow.

Paride...hehe thanks alot yes like that..so your saying the secret is to use "Clamp Value" thats the parameter that eliminates the shadow?

however like this is not easy to drag the decal around is it? more for finetuning its position? unreal is really great at that as it offer an object JUST for this purpose and it projects the texture wherever it "hovers" to.

but this..this helps a lot already thanks!!
