Rendering Animations

I have always wondered this, I am going to ask...!

Is there an actual way to render an animation sequence in the 3DS Max app through Octane plugin, or does it have to be exported to Standalone?
Currently, the manual does not outline how this (rendering in-application through the plugin) might be accomplished, if it even can.
