I think max always had problems with instances including slow render time because of calculation before each frame rendered. Hopefully it can be fixed soon.

Interesting.
Wonder if there are any comparisons or benchmarks between the different plugins and standalone version.

There's loads of posts/benchmarks/discussion about the hardware we use but haven't seen anything about differences in software...
