use octane camera and animate focus. I hope 3ds max dev will make focus animatable inside Camera tab of octane render dialog. PLEASE We just don't like octane camera and sue standard a lot

Hi richardyarlett,
To animate the depth of field you have to make exactly as you animate any other element in 3dsMAx.
It is also easy to use Octane focus picker.

much easier to do it in precompose - using depth of field plugin third-party programs because something you may not like when the final render and so it is possible to fix it
