VDB files dont load

i will presume im just being stupid here but:

any openvdb file i try does not show up. i seem to remember a point cloud representation in viewport but the container just remains blank.
i tried rendering it with volume medium in the medium slot but again its blank. ive tried a bunch of vdbs from different paths (external and internal hd)

the files are vdb were created in houdini. kernel type is direct light fwiw.

this was the case with 3.04 and now with 3.05 4.29

can someone help me here?

right but my problem is that vdb does not even render.
i mean it just looks empty. under vdb info i can see the date was loaded but cant see it being rendered.

obviously it would be nice to have some viewport representation, even if symbolic.

your writing is incoherent and it seems comprehension skills are even worse.

i am not asking for anything to be "sold" (i suppose you mean solved) but merely a way to load a static openvdb file. i realize it may be an error on my side but i would appreciate some assistance from the support.

i can open the same vdb files in clarisse or phoenix fd without a problem.

thanks but now all of the sudden it works and i feel like an idiot.

i tried a bunch of files and they did not show. i thought the object scale was to small so i cranked it up but even then saw nothing.
and now it renders fine.

closed thread, im a derp apparently.
