C4D Node editor issues

So I am having a weird issue with the node editor. When I change A material to glossy or spectacular it does not show the additional attributes in the node editor. Anyone have this issue before? Am I missing something simple? Never had this happen before.
Also I updated to the most Recent version of Octane standalone and the c4d plugin with no prevail.

No luck opening and closing the Node Editor. It also persists even if i do a full system restart. Nothing I do seems to make it start working. I have even tried making a new project and the issues persists in the new project as well.

What happens in material editor if you change type? Can you save a scene with diffuse+glossy+specular materials? I wiah to check it. Thanks!

In the material editor it changes for me just like it should. It's only when I go to the node editor that I see the issue. the link is for a scene file that has one of each put on a Sphere.

It's working fine on me as in capture. Can you confirm that's not like this on you? It's not making any sense on me. There is not changes in node editor which can affect this since a few versions. It may be worth to check your plugin files. Delete all content and make a new extract from latest version.

I will try that and report back. When I do what you did in your video it does not change in the node editor area.

So after getting back to the issue I have found it is on both of my machines. It definitely happened when C4d ran the most recent updates. In the video you posted was that r18 or r17? I am running r17.

Scratch that. Back tracked the plug in and it fixed my issue.
