Hi,

I just installed the latest OS Ventura M2 Octane for C4D 2024, the I try to render I get: There is no GPU device which is selected... But, the only option under settings related to GPU devices is: Use all GPU's and it is enabled, but still I get the error.

Any advice please?.

Hi,
make sure to have updated macOS to 13.6.1, or 14.1.1, then install the following version:
https://render.otoy.com/plugindownloads ... R7_OSX.zip

ciao,
Beppe

I don't know what the cause is, but it seems like my GPU is also having problems.

You need Apple Silicon M1/M2/M3 GPU to be able to work in Ventura or Sonoma.
Here is the link to the current stable version 2023.1.2-R5:

Hey Beppe -

Can we expect that a Ventura Intel Metal version will ever hit? I'm sort of stuck because Adobe really needs to run Ventura, but Octane cannot. Oof - can't just easily jump to Apple Silicon. Any advice?

Grazie mille

Hi,
unfortunately, Apple has abandoned AMD GPUs, so there is no future for Intel/AMD GPUs in macOS Metal.

Since I also own a Mac Pro 2019, and since now we have multi platform Network rendering between Apple Silicon Metal, and CUDA PC, my solution was to install Win 11 via Bootcamp on Mac Pro, with a couple of Nvidia GPUs via Thunderbolt, and use it as Render-Node with an Apple Silicon M2 Pro in 10Gbit Ethernet.
