[Solved] Display GPU

Good morning

Just out of curiosity....does performance degrade when a GPU is also used for display?

Some software which do GPU calculation suggest to use a lower end GPU for display only and use higher models for calculations only...

Hi,
yes sure, it is the same for OctaneRender, in fact, there is the Priority option in the Devices panel, that must be activated for all the GPUs connected to monitor.
Not only, you are losing available VRAM based on the monitor resolution, so if you have one or more 4k Monitors, better to have a dedicated GPU for that, and leave the GTX/RTX for rendering only.
ciao Beppe
