eGPU for MacPro (2013 trashcan): advice needed ... Tweet

Hi,

I’m a ‘new’ MacPro user (2013 trashcan) & am looking to invest in a eGPU setup so I can take advantage of Octane in C4D.

I’m looking for some advice / tips / links on which enclosure / GPU combination is best for this, from any other MacPro / C4D users who are using something similar.

I appreciate it’s a bit of a ‘dark art’ & that there are considerable ‘bottleneck’ issues regarding data transfer via Thunderbolt2, but I’m keen to continue working on my MacPro AND to render in Octane.
