sorry for the noobness but and how can i do a pre-bake a displacement?

in 3dmax?

i really want to know since octane doesnt support displacement (yet). i saw this amazing iguana rendered with octane with a pre-baked displ in a radiance post.

first you add a tesellation or a subdivision modifier to your mesh, fire up those divisions to get a nice result, then you add displacement modifier based on an image or texture, and there you are... althou be prepared for large polycount.
