Hello.

At Photon Tracing kernel:

- "allow caustics" unchecked on glossy (or specular) material - brightness is correct on caustics
box - allow caustics disabled on glossy material.PNG

- "allow caustics" checked - this increases badly brightness on caustics (variable caustics* only is appearing by path tracing method at less than ~0.3 of roughness on glossy ground) - this is BUG.
box - allow caustics enabled on glossy material.PNG

--> Please should fix the "allow caustics" bugged for avoid the brightness increased for caustics.

* - Learn the "variable caustics" (new)
NOTE: I'm sorry for bad english due to mute ;)

It does appear to simply be the expected increased incoming light from the Photon Tracing caustics convergence.

Ok. But see below:

At path tracing kernel only (not photon tracing) - 6 laps of 1MS/px of regions picked = 6MS/px
6 laps of 1M spp of regions picked at small image at PT.png

This is CORRECT brightness. :)

PS: Sorry for this small image rendered. But you want to unlock to full image (1002x602), you can buy it by 5 dollars US or 5 euros for 22.5 hours of render time - RTX 4090 + electricity's cost. ;)
