We are going to see some extreme bench scores over the next next 8 weeks or so, despite heading into mid summer... in the southern hemisphere! :ugeek:

Thanks. You've got that right.

You've got a friend [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_MdSu0I620 ].
I'd say, at least, nos. > 1,400 points as in about 118.5 * 12 = 1,422 for stage 1 GPUs and about 117.61111111111111 * 12 = 1411.33333333333332 for stage 2 GPUs [of course measured separately because of the 12 GPU limit in OctaneBench and Octane's license ]. That's for a system single system maximal equivalent (ME) in excess of 2,800 OctaneBench points for running multiple GPU 3d renderers, but all performance fully achievable year-round, i.e., winter, spring, summer and fall - all one has to do is call [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLPjBC0LMOQ ].

24 GPUs for 2800..no thanks =) preffer 1000 in terms of OctaneBench from 7 watercooled GM200 =)

Glimpse,
Thanks for pointing out that less can be more. However, I did say "at least" when referencing the 780Ti systems. I'm tackling my old GPUs first to further hone my skills for modifying my newer stuff. Would tweaking four used, air-cooled Fermi GTX 590s [all purchased as used items off of Ebay for about $350 (USD) for each video card or $1,400 for each group of four of them], to yield an OctaneBench score of 481.24 points {and hopefully higher} for each group of four video cards, be more in line with your GM200 proposal? With a little more tweaking, I'll get my six 4xGTX 590 systems each closer to 500 points a piece. I'll be further tweaking these old Kepler systems to use for bucket rendering with Redshift 3d.

P.S. Since they're dual processor cards, OctaneBench identifies them as 8x [ https://render.otoy.com/octanebench/sum ... 8x+GTX+590 ]. The rightmost mountain in the pic is all mine.

Not so bad for those oldies - fermi based 590s still impress a lot - great result. I just do not like the limitation of vram (if only memory could be combined, like 4x 1,5GB ~> leading to 6GB=)

Recently we found 780 6GB for 320eu (new) - now that was a bargain..& more important vram is still in line with new cards like 980Ti..but for half the price. think in two days we bought more than ten with some follow Octaners =)

On air at 50C (on full tilt) is something that surprised me a bit. But they also run lower temps with conservative fan speeds (while overclocked to match performance of reference cooler equiped TitanBlack, as later has more CUDA cores compared to 780s)

in the end it's really nice to see those systems climbing & climbing in terms of performance..500 does not surprice anyOne anymore =) to match the theme of this thread experiment with those 780s I'm doing will be eGPU box, custom built, full watercooled & pretty compact =)

24 GPUs for 2800...

I'll take that!!!...need 4 15-amp circuit breakers for that though... ;)

At some point the newer Pascal cards will be released, I am imagining choosing between a hydro copper version or doing my own with an outside waterblock.
I don't have any info on which has performed better (not in terms of rendering speed, but in terms of leaks, clogs, and cooling capacity) let's say in the case of a (a) hydro copper Z or X vs a (b) 3rd party water-blocked Z or X.

Anyone read or know how many CUDA cores and MHz speed a Pascal flagship card might have?

This might be an interesting read for You =) in short some block are better some a worse..cooling capacity matters not only for Core, but also other parts like vRAM & more than that VRM. Evha switched to EK waterblocks with Maxwell release.

noOne knows for sure - & all the leaks so far is pure 'writing on water', besd by history..previous releases. I woulnd't expect to know any news untill GTC'16 =)

Thanks!
Huh.. So the default Hydro copper fares worse than the others. Maybe just as well...you get the best of both worlds having the fan component and a waterblock to switch between if you want
