Hi there. I switched to 2018.1 yesterday in our small studio.
Unfortunately I am experiencing problems with the Cryptomatte feature.
They are working great when used on a local machine but produces weird results when used over network.

Cryptomatte just produces weird results. See video:
https://vimeo.com/328375210/2cd2f34bd7

System info:
Windows 10 Pro 64bit on all systems.
Latest Nvidia 419.67 Drivers
Master: 3 x GTX 1080Ti, 64 GB System Ram
Slave 1: 2 x GTX 1080Ti, 24 GB System Ram
SLave 2: 2 x GTX 980Ti, 32GB System Ram

Usually I use the C4D Plugin. But I recorded the problems with the Standalone because Ahmet, the C4D developer told me that it is very likely to be standalone bugs.

The same effect also appears when only one slave is active.

Thank you for your time and for looking into this.
P.s. this is not scene related. It happens to all the scenes I tried. Its just more apparent when you have more objects in the scene. This is the reason I used the production scene in my video.

Cheers,
Raphael

On the latest versions we've been getting occasional crashes or freezes when trying to load or save any type of file, like a render file, or loading a CSV...
it usually happens a load or save is done while octane is doing its AI scene update or compile stuff... can anyone replicate this issue?

Thanks, we have fixed both Cryptomatte and the vertex attributes issue over network render you reported. We're aiming for a 2018.1.1 release some time this week.

We have found an issue along these lines, sometimes when rendering is stopped, a short lockup happens followed by a crash. We'll delay 2018.1.1 until this is resolved. It also applies to the upcoming 4.03.

Sorry for being a bit pushy with those issues
Great to hear that they will be resolved soon! Thank you and thanks to the devs!

I'm going to be *that guy* and mention that from your site there is no mention of 2018+, and even less on how to get a license. Especially if you already have a license and wish to upgrade etc.. In short.. if you want people to get these licenses.. make it easy to do so ;)

We’re moving so fast that we decided to hold off on deprecating V4 on the site once 2019.1 is out. The V4->2018/2019 upgrade path is simple: shop page->upgrade>$199 year Enterprise Plan
