So you have to pay for a Dongle to uses Octane offline?
So I have to basically pay extra for an offline mode?

You are correct. Once a license is converted to a dongle license, it cannot be reverted to using online authentication.

Is there a way to use just the standard USB Thumb drive?

Let me clarify. When you purchase a dongle in the shop, you'll be asked to select which Octane standalone license will be paired with this dongle. Next, a dongle is shipped to you. You'll receive the dongle, activate it, and you're good to work offline. What I meant by "cannot be reverted to using online authentication" is that the only way you can use your license is via the dongle. It will no longer ask you to "log in" via online authentication when you launch Octane.

Depends where you live. Dongles are shipped from California, USA. Can take anywhere up to a week for international.
