Hi all,

Looks like we made it through without too much issues.
If anyone still has any problems or does'nt have his copy activated,
please contact us on [email protected]

some people have been sending requests to other email adresses,
and as a result they weren't forwarded to our NZ office while i was asleep,
and as such have had to wait till now to get them activated,
so in the future please send all activation request emails to [email protected]

Maybe a mailto button on the registration window sending the Machine ID at the correct address could help? :)
If you add a specific title, you'll even be able to sort all the registration requests more easily on your side...

i'd like to go towards automating it completely,
once our backend database is ready,
we could have the software phone home automatically and activate without intervention,
leaving only people who have activated too much in a short period with a message to contact us via email or something.

As a Linux user I have not downloaded anything yet. Is this something I can get out of the way ahead of time?

Radiance,

I think you misunderstood my post.

I wasn't asking about the Linux build. I was asking about the license activation (the title of the thread).

I guess it must wait until the build can be downloaded to do the activation.

Hey,

Sorry, been so busy replying...
You can actibate your copy when you've got the linux binary,
the activation is very fast, it takes a few minutes.

You can already activate using the windows version,
provided you do it on the same PC.
The machine code for the activation is compatible between linux and windows installs, so you can dual-boot and use on both os'es with 1 activation key.

Thanks! Because I am still dual-booting, maybe I will do just that.

Hi,

I just purchased the program and I am very happy.

It is almost perfect...

But...

I have a problem.

Every time I open Octane, it requires the activation code.

Is it a bug or i have to do something to solve that problem?

Thank you in advance...

If on windows, try running as administrator once to activate it, after that you should be fine to run it as a normal user.
