Displacement Issues

Hi There,

I was checking at the forum and doing a lot tests and is really hard to get clean and proper results with Displacement + medium nodes (SSS) any shader specular or diffuse.
I tried different setting but the result is not right to get the right level of displacement and the SSS.

I tried same scene, texture all with different render engines 5 in total and they are working only in Octane (included plug) I can't achieve right results of course only displacement is fine but for some reason doesn't work with SSS because I guess the mesh split in parts I checked all distance how much higher the displacements goes...

I think need some work, I saw already posts about this but none of then provide a clear solution. for this time to make sure I'm only using Standalone I saw this conversation here but doesn't work the solution to make work basically is just make the displacement really low in this case pointless with some character need a high displacement like crocodiles, dinosaurs and etc

https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52811&p=265601&hilit=displacement+displacement+sss#p265601

Any help or we have to use a really high topology with a normal map?
