at least one reason why this is not checked by default is?
very few people are aware that it smooths the edges of the alpha channel! As a result, spending a lot of time renders poor people get the alpha channel

Hi Elvis,
the option is there to be used with After Effect, but not all the users are working with AE
Really, I don't get the sense of your complaining, the option is there, if you need it, just use it
