New PPM kernel for next Octane Render?

Hello.

If you can't solve issue (<-- HERE) at PMC kernel then I sooo want progressive photon mapping (PPM) as new kernel in new version (v3.x or v4) of Octane Render. Ok?

PPM is much more efficient than PMC for caustics. It hasn't the number limited of rejects (like path tracing). :)

This new kernel should include global illumination. ;)

Regards

PSOR scene - PMC (Octane Render) vs SPPM (Stochastic progressive photon mapping on LuxRender):

-- OR v2.25 - 256k S/pixel during 14h38min
PSOR@ior 1.509, @disper 0.006,@32-diff,@60-spec depth,@10k-reject_256k-spp_14h38min - OR 2.25.PNG

-- LuxRender 1.6.0 x64 (lastest version) - 58 passes (100M photons per pass) during 27 minutes but SPPM makes much less indirect lights in PSOR than PMC:
psor@ior 1.509,@disper 0.006 sppm.png

But pity GPU doesn't use SPPM on LuxRender yet... :(

Therefore, I want so new SPPM kernel in next version of OR!

I think that my GPU GTX 980Ti@stock with 1315MHz core-real boost (full GPU usage) is ~25x-30x faster than my CPU i7-4790K@stock as Turbo 4.2GHz HT enabled at SPPM kernel. :)

Do you not confirm SPPM as new kernel for OR yet?

This thread has 360 views but still no any responses... :?

I guess OTOY has dedicated all their people on this issue, therefore no one has time to answer. Just a thought.

Thank you. :)

My settings: OR or LuxRender or both?
