Not sure if this was mentioned already, but I'm running (only) 3.0 Alpha10 on (2) OSX 10.11.4 and (1) on a Win10 Machine. As far as the plugins go, when Cinema 4D exits, those license do get released but the StandAlone License on the Mac's that run the plugins or the Win10 Slave machine, when we exit the Daemon and/or exit the StandAlone Program, the license never get automatically released. We still need to go the OTOY Licenses web page to deactivate those.
Is this a known issue or is there a way to fix this?

I have a 15" retina macbook with an AMD card and have been patiently waiting for OpenCL implementation but it doesnt seem like it's happening anytime soon. I see you use an external gpu box. Been thinking about getting an external gpu myself instead of an entirely new computer. The new gtx 1080's look amazing, I'd only have the money for 1 with a whole new computer but If the external gpu is pretty straight forward to implement I could get 2x1080's. Is it pretty straight forward to get octane running with external gpus? Do I have to do this "kext hack"?

unfortunately I have no more a thunderbolt Mac in my disposition, but the kext modification seems easier now ;)

yes sure as for v2, and the max GPU number per Master + slaves is now at 20 ;)

i have a question regarding License, I have two Computers, Desktop (Main Render power horse) and MBP (mostly using) Can i use 1 license on both obviously not at same time ? Like most of the time my Desktop is switched off to save electricity, SO during that time can i use MBP (laptop) to test and learn Octane .

Hi allen,
the new SSO activation system is designed exactly to make what you are asking super easy. Right now there are still few issues with the new system and plugins/Mac, but with standalone you can already quit Octane from a machine and instantly have the license on another machine without copy/pasting licenses numbers and waiting 60 minutes as with v2. All is managed automatically by the system ;)

Thanks alot, I all ready upgraded to v3, I use C4D all the time not standalone so should wait for bug fixes ? thanks any way .. so happy :D
