Im having a problem with Octane. I set my scene in octane and save the .ocs file. If i open the .ocs file from Octane the settings remain as I had saved them, but everytime I try to render animation from softimage or try to render a frame from softimage the material properties that I have set get reset to its default values. How should I get around this?

You need a material macro in your scene to keep the settings. So you render from your 3d app via plugin, add a material macro to your graph editor. Double click it, add diffuse, glossy or specular material and connect to macro. Go back to project and connect macro to material on the OBJ mesh. Now just edit your material until your happy and then save your OCS file. The next time you render all the edits you did in octane will still be there. :)
