Hey... I payed 100.. how about I get a discount when you release the full version or what.. You know how it goes, you put prices down "old" users start bitching for no reason.

Hi,

it's a one week special, it's not a definite price change.
Why don't you use the opportunity to get 2nd licenses for other machines...

acc24ex, do not be greedy.
Do not worry please.

It's a great event to a week 49!
It will be more users.
More testers.
And more support to developers.

It all makes it possible to accelerate the development process.

I think it was a cool idea!

Actually it's great that you give that price to be so low.... I know that it may sound crazy, but I get one license just because it was so cheap and didn't test the software much yet. Hope that this engine will turn in real beast :) ...

Me too. I had a play when the original demo came out but my GPU was pants and things were obviously at an early stage of dev. But when I saw the offer I went back to the website, saw the great progress that has been made and thought what have I got to lose and also now the GTX 470s are out I thought a GPU upgrade is also in order to get a propper experience with Octane. Without the offer I dont think id have bought. Im just hoping the 1280MB RAM is going to be enough!! Im also excited to see that there are plans for instancing which is a real plus. Looking forward to giving Octane a propper go.

Just bought the last hours of expired deal. Such a steal price, thou....the only regret was i didn't buy two licenses. Hoping another discount price on future version (v.2,3,4 ...etc).

as others already stated: since octane is in beta phase and can barely be used in production yet, i just grabbed a license to support the developers and help making octane a great piece of software which revolutionizes the way 3D-production works! c'mon, 100 bucks is kinda nothing for any commercial artist/studio.
