hi

does anyone know of a cherry tree in good quality that can be used with octane?

i need to create a scene where i have several cherry trees, and i thought i a combination with scatter (sketchup) and a tree in a good quality could do the job but....

i have bought this tree https://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/761493, but it seems that the obj file is just on big object and so i can't use it in octane :-/

any tips?

Why don't you edit the file in 3dmax?
Remove the base and keep the tree. Export the file again as obj and load in Octane?

i just tried to open the tree in max, but i can't figure out how to select for example all leaves - or all small branches :-/

it seems that they are not grouped or on a specific layer. i can fine select the trunk and the larger branches as one object, detach and export....
