This topic is for everyone who search for Models to use into Octane render

If you got good bookmarks and links for 3D Models or Modelling related tools/plugins/scripts post them here
I will manually copy your links and post them in the first message of this topic. That way the topic is clean
Don't forget to always put a link to the website and write some text about the quality or what's included



Tools and Converters

Meshlab for Windows / OSX and Linux
Open source software to filter / convert / clean 3D meshes in various formats.
Really usefull when you download 3D Scans and you want to convert them to .OBJ

3D Object Converter for Windows
Shareware (30 day trial) converter and 3D model viewer. Lot of formats supported (569 actually)
Batch converting files. Different view options, wireframe, gouraud, flat shaded etc...

Okino Polytrans for Windows
395$ seems expensive, but Polytrans is the most used converter / translator in the industry.
It convert bones / animation / NURBS and geometry from nearly all the applications on the market

3D Models from various websites

LOAD Library of Art and Design
High-quality 3d models, interior props like armchairs, tables, sofas etc...
All the models are available in 3ds Max 2008 format with Vray materials, obj, 3ds and dwg formats

Flying Architecture
Lots of models (216 actually) of architecture props like chairs, tables, dishes etc..
Very good quality, downloads available as Nurbs (3DM) or 3DS format (Submitted by Alain)

TurboSquid
Probably the most popular 3D Models market place. There's thousand of models
Some are very cheap like 10$ but the prices can grow up to over 4000$ for full city models !

3DOcean
A new website dedicated to selling 3D Models but also textures and shaders
Very nice content, and low starting prices. Its a fast growing website so check it often

3D Content central
Huge collection of CAD models. Both user contributed and Supplier certified parts / assemblies
Download in pretty much all the different CAD formats available on the market

Will add a lot more links later ;)

Don't forget to always read License agreements and term of use, im not responsible for any wrong usage of those 3D models

Ive already seen this site a while ago but didn't bookmarked it
Its a very cool website with a lot of usefull models, I love the "living room > vases + plants" for archviz

Unfortunately only a part of them are available in FBX and OBJ format too, MAX format available for every model (maybe some of you, max guys, could export some of them in .fbx for me... if you'll find this info of any use? ;) )
