I also poke the HQ button.

OK. That must be the 'High Quality No' button in Radiance's 2.5 screenshot above then.

So this one is right then:

'Zactly!

Other little notes:

Do not use spaces in your Texture names. Otherwise Octane won't pick them up. (They will show up as base material)
Do not use Unicode characters in Texture or Material names. Causes crashes.
Apply Scale and Rotation (Ctrl-A) prior to exporting large scenes. The .OBJ function 'Apply Modifiers' I think is supposed to handle this, but I have found that not doing it causes crashes.
Remove Doubles. If you import a mesh into your scene, make sure to Remove Duplicate Verticies. (Edit mode: W+Remove Doubles) Alhough I have had many Meshes work fine with doing this, I have found that to be the cause of import failures sever times. (Ususally when there aare allot of them.)

Thats all I can think of right now. Haven't had coffee yet. *yawns* :geek:

dont use .obj file name with spaces either as Octane wont find the mtl.
all materials will default to blue 0,0,1

Isn't Triangulate supposed to be enabled as well?

Octane converts to tris on import anyway, so it makes no difference really.

The edge issue can be easily solved by using the clean mesh script. I also find that making sure to recalculate the normals helps prevent meshes from not loading properly. I haven't tried any of this in blender 2.5 yet, just 2.49 and 2.48.

Do the 2.49 settings not warrant posting? Still a lot of folks on here using it.
