There are no OBJ export settings in Cinema 4D, except "Scale". I set it's value to 1 (set by default) and thats it.
It's just a simple scene: one plane, one sphere, one cube and one platonic. No modifiers or NURBS. No cameras. No lights. No materials.
Do you still need me to upload that scene file?
BTW, why not to make a standalone exporter (or maybe a plug-in for different 3D applications), which will be 100% compatible with Octane? That would be reeeeally awesome!
Thanks!
Best regards,
Alexander

There are also a few posts with correct settings for riptide, check the resources forum, on top 'OBJ export settings' post.

Tried that, no luck. Any other suggestions?

Everyone implements OBJ in his fashion and you need to configure the riptide exporter in a specific way to make it produce OBJ files which are usefull by octane.
Check the resources forum for the 'OBJ export settings' thread for screenshots and information about it.
It will work as many have made nice renderings with it.
Licensed customers have access to a plugin, which we don't give to demo users yet as we need to document them first otherwise we'll be flooded with questions from people using the scripts.
So they will be packaged with the demo versions soon.
