It seems to work really well, no crashes yet!

I created a normal map from a low resolution photo of a manhole cover I pulled off the internet, then applied it to a flat disc mesh in Sketchup and exported to Octane.I then applied a glossy black and the normal map in octane.

Does it also do UVmapping? Seems to work great!

Not sure.. but that 40 minute demo video seemed pretty thorough...
though, I did not have time to watch it all... perhaps you should. ;)
